Collectors expect to find the best in tin and porcelain signs, neon signs, gas pump globes, original unrestored and restored gas pumps, oil bottles and cans and related advertising items.
Be assured that Iowa Gas policy prohibits the sale of reproduction signs or globes at this event.

Event headquarters is the Holiday Inn, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa. The location is convenient for those who drive as well as those who arrive by air at the Des Moines International Airport, located across the street.

Dear Friends,
As announced earlier there are some changes to the Iowa Gas Show for 2009. The first change is the schedule. We are combining the auctions and holding them on Friday, starting time will be 10:00 AM. Parking lot vending may continue on Friday AM at your option. The event will be over after the auction ends Friday PM. Saturday is your travel home day. As in the past Wednesday will be set up and vending. The indoor vending spaces will be open for set up at 8:00 AM. Registration will also open at 8:00 AM. The schedule for Thursday will remain unchanged. Ballroom and room to room vending will be Wednesday and Thursday. Ballroom vending will end Thursday PM . Other indoor vending options will be available see below.
The other change will be to provide additional indoor vending spaces. It seems that some of us now have less tolerance to Iowa’s hot August weather. We will offer up to 20 new indoor spaces. These vending spaces will be in the courtyard, where we have the buffet. Vendors who choose to have these spaces may also vend Wed & Thurs evening during room to room trading. Over night security will be provided.
If you now vend in the parking lot you may wish to consider this more comfortable option. If you now vend in the ballroom this, option will offer extended hours of vending. You may continue to vend Thursday PM and on Friday AM. Look for this new option on the enclosed registration form, and layout on the reverse side of this letter.

Each year Iowa Gas sponsors a display of items from a featured oil company. This year the show will focus on collectibles from a company to be announced.. The displays are assembled by meet participants and are available for viewing during the event.
