Iowa Gas is now accepting consignments to our annual auctions. We will sell your quality collectibles, either one piece or an entire collection for a commission rate as low as 9% (see #3 below).
This event affords you the opportunity to offer your collectibles to a large group of advertising collectors. If you have items to consign or know someone who does, please contact Ron at (515) 276-2099 or John at (515) 321-7930, evenings. Your early consignments receive the benefits of our national advertising.

1) Authenticity: No reproductions will be accepted. If it is determined that any item is a reproduction, it will be removed from the auction.
2) Right of Refusal: Iowa Gas reserves the right to refuse any item from participation in its auctions. A minimum value of $75.00 per item will be used as a guideline for acceptance in the Saturday auction. 3) Commission Rates: Sales commission as low as 8%. A $7.00 minimum sales fee will be charged on items selling for less than $75.00. No commission will be charged on lots that do no sell.
4) The buyer of each auction item must pay a 10% premium above the selling price. Settlement for all items purchased at the auction will be on the premises.
5) Removal of Lots by Consignor: Once an item has been accepted by Iowa Gas and is in our possession (with the proper documentation), this document will serve as a binding legal contract that lots consigned will not be removed from our custody.
6) Insurance: It is the responsibility of the consignor to carry replacement coverage due to all aspects of potential loss while items are in Iowa Gas’s possession. Iowa Gas Swap Meet, The Auction Service and the Holiday Inn assume no responsibility for any type of loss or damage to merchandise consigned to the Iowa Gas Auctions.
7) The Auction Co. will collect on the premises all monies from buyers, and will deduct the commission and settle with sellers as quickly as possible following the auction.
8) Iowa sales tax of 6% will be collected on the total sale price, including Buyers Premium.
NOTE: It is the intention of Iowa Gas to upgrade the quality of our auction items and limit the quantity. All consignment items are subject to approval. Friday's sale limited to 250 items and Saturday's sale limited to 450 items.
